South Asia has been having a major crisis with arsenic contamination in the drinking water pumped from the ground. This is a relatively inexpensive new technology where the water is cleaned using nano particles of good old rust.

For my project, I found this pretty great low-maintenance water pumping system that has been around since 1772. It's called a ram pump and some of the sections of it might help everyone think about how water works at that scale, at least diagrammatically.
Information on some of the more relevant (wetland and bay-dwelling, as well as controversial) kinds of birds inhabiting the site.
